The challenge was "summer".  It's so hot you could fry an egg on the sidewalk. 😁

 Elemental was the subject.  It would be earth, wind, fire or water.  I chose wind bending the grass.

 This week was "year Word" revisited.  My word was simplify.  So it's one bloom.  Hollyhock.

 Visual Rhythm was this week's challenge.  It is repetition of images to create a rhythm.  These are the posts for a corral system that is unused now. 

 This week's challenge was back light.  This is our cat, Rex, who likes to sit in the open window. 

 Didn't get last week's photo posted.  The challenge was initially inspired.  Using my initials, VL.  This is a very light feather. 

 Crazy Eights.  If two sides are covered with trees, does it still count as eight?

 Beautiful Bokeh was the challenge.  It's focusing sharply in the foreground and blurring the background.  Really pops the item in the foreground. 

 Body Language was this week's challenge.  These two friends were taking a break.  "I really liked the winning quilt", "I would have used more green", "Will we be able to get up after we are rested?"

 "Upside down" was the challenge.  I stopped in Gardner at the Dairy Queen to get a picture of a blizzard turned upside down.  The clerk was too busy to ask her to take it again, so it's not as crisp as I would like.

The subject for this week was "botanical".  This is our young pear tree's blossoms.  If it makes even half of the blooms, we should get 10 bushels or more. haha. 
 

A la Vivian Maier was the challenge.  She was a 1920's famous B&W street photographer.  In our county's infinite wisdom, they have designated our gravel/dirt road a street.  This is a "street" scene with my 14 year old, deaf dog, Ned.  
 

This week's challenge was "Rhymes with tonight".  Mine is "Bright White".

 

 Abandoned was the challenge.  This is a three legged windmill that is unused and now abandoned.  A dreary morning adds to the dark feeling.

This week's challenge was transportation.  These are Dennis' feet.  He was a letter carrier for 34 years.  I figured these feet have traveled 102,000 miles, not counting vacation time off but also not adding the days he worked 6 days a week.  That's a lot of walking.

 "Use a Mirror" was the challenge.  Couldn't come up with anything unique.  So this is an antique hand mirror with some daisies on it. 

Juxtaposition was the challenge.  This is winter next to spring.  
 

 New Year so challenge was "year word".  Simplify is my year word.  Hope I can make it work.
